Kampala, Uganda | THE INDEPENDENT | Life will not be the same for the slums of Kikoni in Kampala as entrepreneur Allan Kato brings to life a dream of assisting the less privileged in the city and empowering unemployed youth and others in need.
The Allan Children’s Foundation was unveiled on January 5, 2019, together with various friends and partners who generously donated items including sanitary pads, books, pens, pencils, balls, and uniforms for less privileged children. The official launch will be held soon.
Expressing his joy at the upcoming launch, social entrepreneur Allan Kato extended gratitude to God for aiding him in fostering positive change. He also expressed hope that the foundation would become a platform for assisting the less privileged and uplifting souls.
“I am thrilled to announce the successful launch of our foundation in Kampala! I am thankful to all who supported this meaningful journey. Together, we are making a positive impact on our community,” remarked Allan Kato.
Reflecting on the launch, Allan Kato expressed his delight and gratitude, emphasizing the foundation’s potential to create positive change and uplift the spirits of those in need.
Raised by a single mother in the Kawempe division, Allan Kato, at 20 years old, holds the distinction of being the youngest among his six sisters and a twin brother. His educational journey took him through Makerere Primary School and Kasubi Family Primary School for his primary education, followed by Naalya S.S. for his high school years.
He now mobilises friends, companies and institutions to support society.
