Democratic Party President Nobert Mao wants Inter Party Organisation for Dialogue (IPOD) disbanded.
Mao said dialogue loses meaning if ideas are discussed only for shelving.
“Politics is about having processes that lead to decisions but if entities tasked with this cannot achieve it, then citizens see no value in the IPOD,” he said during an IPOD meeting on inclusive politics.
The IPOD council comprising of the secretary generals of UPC, NRM, FDC, DP called for the convening of the IPOD summit.
The summit consists of NRM Chairman President Museveni, Mao, FDC President Mugisha Muntu and UPC’s Jimmy Akena.
