Nothing is off the table — Nkunda, Ntaganda, Juppe, the ICC — in The Independent’s exclusive interview with Rwandan foreign minister Louise Mushikiwabo.

What’s the latest on Rwanda’s bid for a rotating seat on the UN Security Council?

Rwanda has put in a bid for one of the rotating seats reserved for Africa on the UN Security Council for 2013-14 and there is a process to get there. Understanding how historical events and processes have produced today’s outcomes in Eastern DRC and Northern Uganda

French professor of economics, Elise Huillery, recently made an interesting discovery -- investments in West Africa during the French colonial heyday led to some surprising results well after the Élysée Palace ceased to be the authority there. Evidence suggests damage inconsistent with air strikes

Somewhere within the twisted metal of Sudan’s damaged Heglig petroleum complex may lie the evidence to prove who caused the destruction during the 10-day occupation of the region by South Sudanese troops last month.

The United Nations has called for an impartial investigation into what happened at Heglig during the border war which sparked international alarm. Sudan and South Sudan have blamed each other for the extensive damage to the export pipeline and central processing facility serving the north’s main oil field.
