Uganda’s Rugumayo third after two rounds of Safari Tour

Nairobi, Kenya | PHILLIP CORRY | Uganda’s Ronald Rugumayo is tied for third in the Magical Kenya Open race with 101 points after two legs of the Safari Tour. The third leg of the golf tour is set for Vipingo Ridge from November 26-30

Rugumayo who was tied for third in the First leg of the Tour at the Uganda Open last month, and tied for 10th in Leg 2 at Limuru Country Club, has 101 points.

The Uganda pro golfer is level with Thika Club’s Simon Ngige Mburu.

Zimbabwe’s Robson Chinoi and Nyasi Muyambo, are first and second  with 119 and 108 points respectively.

Rugumayo made his debut last year at the Magical Kenya Open as a wild card entry with a stellar performance at the final leg at Muthiaga Golf Club.

The Kenya Open Golf Limited Tournament Director Patrick Obath, picked him with Kenya’s Daniel Nduva, South Africa’s Toto Thimba together with Jayden Schaper.

The Magical Kenya  Open is a European Tour event that attracts professional tour golfers from Europe, Asia, South Africa , USA  and Africa.

No Ugandan Professional Golfer has made the cut at the prestigious Kenya Open.
