MADRID, SPAIN | Xinhua | FC Barcelona remained top of La Liga and preserved its perfect start to the season with a 4-2 win away to a determined Levante on Sunday.

Atletico Madrid won 3-0 away to Real Sociedad thanks to an 84th-minute penalty from Alejandro Grimaldo and a debut goal from Jonathan David, which settled an otherwise even contest.
Real Sociedad was unhappy with the penalty decision for handball, as replays showed the ball had first struck winger Job Ochieng’s thigh before hitting his arm.
Giuliano Simeone added Atletico’s third goal in the 96th minute.
Deportivo La Coruna remained unbeaten on its return to La Liga after a 1-1 draw away to Getafe.
Getafe opened the scoring through an excellent goal from Ramon Terrats, but Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang headed in his fifth goal of the season from Yeremay Hernandez’s 78th-minute cross to secure a point.
Adrian Nino scored an 83rd-minute header from a corner to rescue a point for Malaga away to Celta Vigo.
Ferran Jutgla had given Celta the lead at the end of the first half, but despite looking more likely to score a second, the home side failed to take its chances and paid the price when Nino was left unmarked from a corner. ■
