VIDEO: Makerere University lecturers refuse to call off strike

VIDEO: Striking Makerere university lecturers have failed to agree to call off the sit-down strike over salary arrears. The striking lecturers met members of the university council in a special general assembly and attempts to convince them to return to the lecturer rooms failed. Police have now taken over the university to guarantee security  as negotiation get to another level.
