C-care completes acquisition of Roswell Hospital
Kampala, Uganda | THE INDEPENDENT | C-Care has today completed the acquisition of Roswell Hospital, a 30-bed multi-speciality hospital located in Kampala’s Central Business District. The hospital officially joined the C-Care network following the completion of the transaction on 8 September 2026.
An official said the acquisition marks an important milestone in C-Care’s growth strategy in Uganda, expanding its presence in Kampala and bringing its network to six hospitals and 17 clinics.
Roswell Hospital has an established focus on women’s health, maternal and child care, and fertility, serving more than 30,000 patients annually. Its addition strengthens C-Care’s healthcare platform and expands the network’s reach in Kampala’s Central Business District.
“We are pleased to welcome Roswell Hospital into the C-Care family. This acquisition strengthens our presence in Kampala and adds to our capabilities in women’s health, maternal and child care, and fertility,” said Azhar Sundhoo, CEO, C-Care East Africa.
He added that “it is an important step in our growth strategy and reinforces our commitment to expanding access to quality healthcare in Uganda. We look forward to building on the hospital’s strong foundation and the opportunities this creates for our patients, teams and partners.”
The acquisition creates an opportunity for C-Care to build on Roswell Hospital’s existing strengths while supporting the continued development of its services and operations. The next phase will focus on integrating the hospital into the C-Care network, strengthening its operations and identifying opportunities to enhance service delivery across the wider network.
