THIS WEEK: Rules committee asks Namuganza to apologize to speaker

Kampala, Uganda | THE INDEPENDENT | Lands State Minister Persis Namuganza has rubbished a report released by the parliamentary Committee on Rules, Discipline and privileges that recommended that she either apologizes to the speaker Rebecca Kadaga or face suspension for her behavior that they say insulted the office of the speaker.

Namuganza who says the committee sidelined her and never summoned the speaker for interrogations said this report is baseless can find her guilty of the offenses including making false and derogatory statements against the speaker and inciting the public against the Kyabazinga William Gabula Nadiope by calling upon her constituents to chase him and the speaker away from the area with stones.
