Qatar Airways cuts prices to woo customers

Kampala, Uganda | THE INDEPENDENT | Middle East carrier, Qatar Airways, is slashing prices by up to a quarter to customers, increasing competition in the aviation industry.

The airline announced that it will offer passengers discounts of up to 25 % on all cabin classes. Passengers travelling with friends and family can also enjoy a special discount with the airline’s Companion Offer in Premium.

“Passengers now have even more incentive to travel with friends and family, as they can take advantage of our Companion Offer in Premium. We look forward to welcoming all passengers on board,” said Ehab Amin, Qatar Airways Chief Commercial Officer.

The airline will also offer a 10% discount to car rentals booked online. This comes few months since the airline added new destinations to its network including Chiang Mai, Thailand; St. Petersburg, Russia and Penang, Malaysia, with direct service to Cardiff, United Kingdom and Mykonos, Greece set to launch later this year.
