Norwegian held at Entebbe airport, charged with possession of narcotic drugs

Kampala, Uganda | THE INDEPENDENT |  A Norwegian Elizabeth Arntzen Karin, 53 has been arrested at Entebbe Airport for alleged possession  of suspected heroin and charged with unlawful possession of Narcotic drugs.

According to Uganda’s aviation police, Arntzen was intending to travel to Brussels aboard Brussels Flight SN 3169 but ” On searching, three polythene bags wrapped with a cello-tape, were recovered that had suspected heroin weighing 3,706 grams which has since been submitted to GAL Wandegeya for analysis.”

A case file AVPOL CRB 065/2018 was since opened and she was charged with unlawful possession of Narcotic drugs c/s 4(1) and 2(a) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (Control) Act 2016.
