THIS WEEK: New MP Kyagulanyi gives views on age limit debate
Last week, Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobiwine was sworn as Kyadondo East MP amidst jubilation by supporters and fellow legislators.
Speaking to the media just after he had been confirmed, Kyagulanyi said he will not support the lifting of the presidential age limit in the constitution that it will be disrespect of the constitution.
Meanwhile analysts have said Bobiwine’s overwhelming win yet he was an independent in a largely opposition FDC constituency showed how voters now consider personal merit than political affiliation of the candidate.
