Kampala, Uganda | THE INDEPENDENT | Metropole Uganda (Ltd), a credit reference bureau services provider, is set to unveil an online service that will enable borrowers check their credit ratings via mobile phones.
Credit rating reports normally profiles borrowers and their abilities to pay back debt and are therefore used by commercial banks to determine whether one qualifies for a loan.
Customers subscribing for the mobile-based credit reports, Metropol said, will be charged a one-off fee, according to BusinessDaily. Metropol was established in Kenya in 1996 and entered the Ugandan market in 2015.
