Government has refuted claims that it planned to demolish the National Theater to pave way for private development. The claims had unnerved artistes and the general public- with many questioning the rationale used to reach at the controversial decision.
It always starts as a rumour. I don’t think government has the capacity to construct a structure like the one Minister Mutuuzo is talking about. Once you start hearing buzzwords like “Public-Private Partnership”, you know that some “investor” is eyeing the property. See what happened to CMI.
