UPDF Kills Two ADF Rebels, Captures Commander in Kibale Forest

Kampala, Uganda | THE INDEPENDENT | The Uganda People’s Defense Forces (UPDF) have reported the fatal shooting of two suspected rebels affiliated with the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) and the capture of their commander within the Kibale Forest National Park, located in Kamwenge district.

Gen. Felix Kulayigye, the UPDF spokesperson, confirmed the incident in an interview with Uganda Radio Network (URN).

He specified that these rebels were among the escapees following the operation SHUJA conducted in the neighboring Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Gen. Kulayigye emphasized that efforts are ongoing to eliminate the threat posed by the enemy in the area.
