UGANDA: 167 new COVID cases, with 5 deaths

Kampala, Uganda | THE INDEPENDENT | The Ministry of Health has today announced 167 new COVID-19 cases in Uganda. This brings the cumulative number of reported cases in the country to 6,879.

According to results released by the health ministry, Kampala and Kiryandongo accounted for the highest number of cases with 62 and 40 respectively. Five new deaths were recorded making it the highest total recorded in a single day since the start of the pandemic.

Two of the deceased were from Kapchorwa while the other cases were recorded in Kampala, Mbale and Gulu bringing the number of reported COVID deaths in the country to 69.
