Smack, Bwerayange in spotlight at Clash of Titans

Kampala, Uganda | PHILLIP CORRY | Saint Mary’s Kisubi and Bwerayange alumni golf teams will again be the ones to watch as the first leg of the 5th edition of the Hima Cement-sponsored Clash of Titans tees off on September 12 at the Uganda Golf Club.

The tournament brings together traditional school alumni participating in a golf tournament that is played over two legs.
This year’s edition is the fifth and has attracted 21 schools.

At the launch of the event, Brand and Marketing manager Leonah Nekusa said Hima Cement is proud to be associated with the Clash of Titans golf championship.”Since inception, Hima Cement has sponsored this tournament and we promise to continue for many years,” she said.

Henry Nsubuga, one of the organisers of the tournament expressed gratitude to the sponsors of the tournament.

“Clash of the Titans returns for the fifth year running. We expect 251 players from 21 schools with action at UGC and Entebbe Club,” Nsubuga stated.

“We thank our lead sponsors, Hima Cement, and the rest of the partners.”

Proceeds will be channelled to school projects to develop the game of golf through the UgandaGolf Union.
