Entebbe, Uganda | PHILLIP CORRY | Up to 40 professional golfers will be in action today as MTN Pro Tee leg 2 returns to the par 71 lakeside Entebbe Club.

After an absorbing 4 days of action last week in the Johnnie Walker Uganda Pro Open, the local professionals will be back in action as they seek to consolidate their form and consistency ahead of the POA Sunshine Development tour later in the month.

Abraham Ainamani was the winner in the inaugural Leg 1 in June, which also saw Abbey Bagalana record an ace.

The field this year includes 2026 Johnnie Walker Uganda Pro Open winner Ronald Rugumayo, who will be playing alongside Entebbe-based pros Ian Odokonyero and Irene Nakalembe at 9am.

The second leg of the MTN Pro Tee comes in the wake of several of the Uganda Professional Golfers Association members recording remarkable records on the course, which saw 14 professionals making the cut at the just-concluded Open.

The prize kitty for the 4 rounds of action at Entebbe Club is 15 million. It also gives the professionals an opportunity to gain ranking points ahead of the grand finale in December with a grand kitty of 30 million.
