NBS: Government and striking university non teaching staff have failed to agree on modalities of ending the industrial action that would allow a new academic year to open as scheduled.

The negotiations hit a dead end following conflicting explanations from finance minister Matia Kasaija and his technocrats on whether the said funds’ were budgeted for in the current financial year.
