Kampala, Uganda | THE INDEPENDENT | Node Group has been named the second PR Powerhouse at the 10th Public Relations Association of Uganda (PRAU) Excellence Awards, adding to its recognition as PR Agency of the Year in 2025.
The recognition comes as the communications agency marks 10 years of operations in Uganda and PRAU celebrates 50 years of the public relations profession in the country.
The awards recognise performance in Uganda’s public relations industry, with Node Group saying the latest recognition reflects its work with clients across different campaigns and communication projects.
In 2025, the agency was named PR Agency of the Year. It said the latest award was a further milestone in its efforts to build its profile in the sector.
Among the campaigns associated with the agency is Beera ku Guard, an initiative by the National Information Technology Authority Uganda (NITA-U), which placed among the top entries in the Viral Gold Award category.
Node Group said the recognition for the campaign belonged to NITA-U and the idea behind it, while the agency supported its strategy and execution.
The agency attributes its work to four values: curiosity, boldness, delivering quality work and maintaining a human- centred approach to communication.

Ian Rumanyika, chief executive officer of Node Group, said the latest recognition affirmed the agency’s approach to client work.
“Being named PR Agency of the Year was a milestone. Being recognised again in PRAU’s 50th year tells us that our values are working. Curiosity, boldness, Deliver wow and a human touch are how we show up for every client, and they are how we intend to shape the next 10 years,” said Rumanyika.
As the agency enters its second decade, it says it intends to take on more ambitious projects and raise the standard of its work for clients and the wider public relations industry.
The awards come at a time when public relations practitioners are operating in an increasingly competitive communications environment, where organisations are seeking ways to build public trust and maintain relationships with different audiences.
Node Group thanked its clients, partners, the media and its staff for their contribution to the agency’s growth.
