As the people of Butaleja district are soon going to polls to elect their woman MP, following the sudden death of Cerinah Nebanda.  Its no longer a rumour that the late’s sister is going to contest.

In an interview with Nebanda’s mother while in Tororo High Court on Monday December 31, she told The Independent that, “Nobody will divert my mind on the vision that my daughter Nebanda had.”

“I am going to ensure that her vision will continue till we liberate this country.” She says her 18-year-old younger daughter will be in the ballot paper to ensure that the gap that has been left by Nebanda is filled.

She says despite losing her daughter something that has left her and the family in pain over such a mysterious death, she will see to it that the younger daughter will contest and not only that but win the vote in Butaleja district.

However, the NRM’s Electoral Commission says it’s not a guarantee that Nebanda’s sister is the flag bearer since all the candidates have to pass through the primaries that will soon be announced by the party’s electoral body.
