Entebbe, Uganda | THE INDEPENDENT | Michael Moone and Bridget Basiima started from where they stopped last season, by winning the Overall and Ladies crowns at the MTN Monthly Tee of February, at the Lakeside Entebbe Golf Club on Saturday.
Moone, who won the Order of Merit for Men last season, returned a nett score of 68 on count back to claim glory in the monthly event that attracted 174 golfers, while two time Order of Merit Ladies winner Bridget Basiima, triumphed with 69 nett.
Michael Tumusiime, was the Men’s winner Group A with 74 nett on count back, edging Dr Peter Apell.
Saidi Kirarira, claimed group B with 69 nett on count back, to beat Albert Gitta to the honours. Emma Mugabi, was group C winner with 68 nett on count back.
Edith Wamalwa, was runner up Ladies with 72 nett. The seniors winner was Jamil Maningi with 76 nett on count back while Ivan Ssettimba, with 68 nett, was the Guest Winner.
According to a press release from the club, MTN Uganda were the main sponsors of the event, with other partners being Cfao Motors, Huawei Uganda, AfriSafe Insurance Brokers and Castle Lite Uganda.
