Kampala, Uganda | GODFREY SSALI | A man said to be involved in a second acid attack against city lawyer David Tebusweke Mayinja last month, has been arraigned before Buganda Road Court and charged with conspiracy to murder and attempting to commit a felony.

Nuhu Isha a driver and resident of Janda-Namugongo in Kira Municipality-Wakiso District is jointly charged with a one Haji Kaboggoza Mutwalibu also key suspect, who has been issued with a warrant of arrest, after prosecution informed court that he was released on police bond yesterday while the case file was sanctioned by DPP, friday morning.

Presiding Senior Principal Grade One Magistrate Charles Yeteise wondered how the prosecution could allow the registration of the same file to be handled by court when all the suspects are not in police custody.

Magistrate Yeteise then cautioned State Prosecutor Emily Ninsiima not to repeat this again as it’s only intended to waste court’s time and valuable resources.
