🔴 LIVE 8pm: Museveni to address nation on #COVID19

Kampala, Uganda | THE INDEPENDENT | President Yoweri Museveni will at 8pm today outline Uganda government measures to contain a new wave of COVID-19 infections and deaths.

He is expected to tighten on public transport, air travel and vaccinations, and confirm the postponement of the return of Primary 1, 2 and 3s that was set for June 7.

The semi-candidates could be allowed to resume, given they are much more able to observe Standard Operating Procedures.

The Ministry of Education had just 24 hours ago advised that, “planned reporting back to school, breaking off for holidays ought to be delayed until further notice.”

The statement might have come late for the Primary 4s and 5s who started their holidays on Friday. (CLICK TO read full story )
