Kampala, Uganda | NEWS CORRESPONDENT | Clabane Skincare has received the Quality Excellence Award for Most Preferred Skincare Products in East Africa at the sixth East Africa Brand Quality Awards, held at Hotel Africana in Kampala on 16 October 2026.
The awards recognise brands and business leaders across nine countries in the region. Winners are selected through public voting and an independent market survey reviewed by a jury of experts.
The recognition comes as Clabane expands its skincare range with formulations the company says are developed with the needs of African skin in mind.
Muhammad Bashir, Chief Operating Officer at Clabane, said the brand’s focus remains on continuous improvement.
“We are always innovating to meet the standards and needs of African skin. Our focus is on continuously improving and developing skincare solutions that respond to our consumers’ needs while maintaining our commitment to quality,” Bashir said.
The company’s latest addition is the Clabane Glass Skin Orange Peeling Lotion, an evening treatment designed to leave the skin feeling smoother, softer and refreshed.
The product draws on the “glass skin” trend, a look associated with a clear, smooth and luminous complexion.
It combines vitamin C and citrus-derived ingredients with skin-conditioning and hydrating ingredients, including glycerin, betaine, aloe vera and jojoba oil.
The company says the formulation has been used in its clinical setting on hundreds of patients over the past two years, with excellent observed tolerability.
The lotion is meant for evening use once or twice a week. Clabane advises users to follow the product instructions, carry out a patch test before first use and apply sunscreen every morning.
Clabane says the award reflects the brand’s progress, while new products such as the peeling lotion show its continued investment in product development.
