Assailants kill elderly man in Kagadi

Kagadi, Uganda | THE INDEPENDENT | Unknown assailants have brutally killed a 60-year-old man in Busoiga village, Muhorro town council in Kagadi district.

Joroles Kadoma died instantly after being hit on the head with a blunt object at around 11:30 pm.

Godwine Alinaitwe, a resident of the area says that they heard Kadoma screaming for help and rushed to see what was happening only to find him lying in a pool of blood outside his house.

He says that they found the deceased bleeding profusely and immediately alerted Kagadi police but it was too late to save his life since he had already breathed his last.

Caroline Nyamaize, another resident explains that they are living in fear following Kadoma’s brutal murder.

She wants the police to expedite investigations into the matter to ensure that all culprits are arrested and prosecuted for justice to prevail.

Julius Hakiza, the Albertine region police spokesperson has confirmed the incident, saying that although police rushed, it was too late to pursue the assailants who had already fled the crime scene.

Hakiza has called on the public to liaise with the police by providing crucial information that could lead to the arrest of the culprits.
