Geneva, Switzerland | Xinhua | Israeli settler violence and excessive use of force by Israeli forces against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank have made 2022 the deadliest in this area since the United Nations started systematically documenting fatalities in 2005, a group of UN experts said Thursday.

Altogether 150 Palestinians have been killed in the occupied West Bank so far this year, including 33 children, the UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian Territory occupied since 1967 and several other UN experts said in a joint media statement.

The statement said that 10 Israelis, including five settlers, one settlement guard and four soldiers of Israeli forces have been killed by Palestinians in the occupied West Bank in 2022.

According to the statement, 2022 is the sixth year of consecutive annual increase in the number of Israeli settler attacks in the occupied West Bank.
