Moderate earthquake in Kasese felt in Kampala

Kampala, Uganda | THE INDEPENDENT |  A moderate earthquake felt in Kampala, had its epicentre in Kasese and Lake Edward, reports Earthquake-Report.com.

According to Earthquake-Report.com, the tremor measured 5.2 on the Richter scale. It was felt in Rwanda’s capital Kigali as well. (read report here CLICK)

“Based on the present earthquake parameters (Magnitude, Depth, Population, etc) and our experience with earthquake damage impact, earthquake-report.com does expect at least some slight damage like cracks in walls, fallen tiles, etc,” reported Earthquake-report.

Reports to Earthquake-report varied, from ” Kampala/Kasubi – I was watching CNN and the TV and the chair I was seated in started shaking for about one and a half minutes.” to ” Kacyiru – This earthquake shook for a few seconds was in my office hard windows shaking, after saw cracks on the wall, its the second of a sort since last month.”
