Uganda’s former Tourism Minister Mutagamba dies at 64

Maria Lubega Mutagamba, who served as Uganda’s Minister of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities from 2013 to 2016, has died aged 64.

Mutagamba reportedly succumbed to liver cancer at Case Hospital, Kampala on Saturday June, 24 2017.

She had also served as Water and Environment Minister before.

Monday June 26
10am to 3pm Mass at Rubaga Cathedral led by the Archbishop of Kampala and thereafter body viewing at the late Minister’s home followed by a night vigil

Tuesday June 27
Parliament Day beginning at 10am with Members of Parliament and Ministers paying their respect.
Thereafter travel to Rakai followed by a night vigil at Gamba Village Kakuuto

Wednesday June 28 
Burial ceremony by the Bishop of Masaka
