Motion for corruption bill tabled in parliament

Makindye East MP John Ssibwa on tuesday moved a motion asking for leave of house to introduce a private member’s bill. The bill he seeks to introduce is about corruption. The legislator with his colleagues want corruption perpetuators highly punished with life imprisonment and their property confiscated.

He moved the motion and the speaker took a vote on it despite objections from some members who said they needed to first see the draft of the proposed bill.

The member will now have to table the bill, the bill will then be referred to the appropriate committee and then brought back to parliament for the second reading.

But Kajara MP Steven Tashobya doubts the bill will be successful. He predicts that government might ask to take it over and frustrate it. He says the movers might give the bill up because they can’t fund it.

Another MP reminded the movers that the problem in this country has never been absence of laws but lack of enforcement cautioning that the bill might not achieve its purpose even when it is passed.

Your Louis Vuitton bags can be acquired via just about any distinctive look as well as inside shopping centers in very reasonably priced price ranges. A large number of solutions are made of canvas this means these are water resistant so because of this excellent in the damp conditions.
