I want to add on that even the mixture ratio is important.Ethylene glycol has a high boiling point and lower cooling point t. That is why it is used as a coolant in high performance engines.

The correct ration is 50% to 50% i.e one litre of Ethylene glycol To one litre of water. You must know the capacity of your radiator then. Thank you. - Rugangura

Thanks for the info on cooling. It was educative and to add on that it is impotant to educate vehicle owners or mechanics on the importance of antifreeze. Most peoples I know are advised by mechanics to exchange the antifreeze with water when they buy used cars. Ethylene glycol prevents corrosion in the engine which would reduce conductivity of heat. Another area of importance is to keep the radiator fins free of dirt and dead insects for better air circulation. Also make sure the fins on the radiator are straight. Always keep your engine clean and check your water level in the radiator regularly(only when engine is cool). Pressure test your radiator cup once in a while. - Joseph(usa)
