Banange! Obama could not finish whatever you expect this 'son' of Africa to do within just 1yr, let's be realistic in our expectations. No matter his shortcomings, the fact that i now believe that even an African can become the 'President of the World' is good enough to inspire me and other Ugandans/Africans into finding innovative African solutions for our African challenges like the Mental Slavery, Overrelying on foreign aid and traditional defeat against the whites. With leading Uganda brands like Good African Coffee, we can even create franchiseable brands that will have a global appeal in the USA and the world at large. - Lincoln Mutumba

Obama is doing exactly what he was voted for. What else do you want from him? You guys, what did you vote M7 for? If you voted for corruption, then learn to live with it. - Mamba

Disillusionment galore

David, Lydon Rouche represents a fringe, extreme sect. Obama's problems, ironically, come from within his own party. The democrats are diverse, so to cater for people with such varied interests has proven harder than it seemed a year ago. The independents - some of whom include the socalled obamacans - are becoming - too are disillusioned. Speeches are immensely an important attribute for public figures like politicians, but it and of itself is not sufficient to govern. And then Obama distractive (unscripted) gaffes. Obama was elected to fix the economy and to end the wars in iraq and afganistan, and may be placate the rest of world -- which usually means europe and middle east. In American politics, Africa, whether it is obama or not, usually comes way down on the list of priorities. - Ocheto

Leave Obama alone

I agree with Adam Kifaliso. Africans should lay off Obama. He has enough trouble pleasing his voters in America and advancing America's interests around the world. Those who somehow expected the 'son' of Africa to change their lives are hopeless fantasizers. I saw people like Andrew Mwenda attacking Obama's speech in Ghana which was a shameful thing to do because it was as if he expected a different speech. - kato
