I would like to applaud pr ssempa for the brave step he took to wwrite in support of president zuma.I think pr ssempa is a macrocosmic projection of the active role that the church should play in both spiritual and democratic processes of a state. This is in response to one who says that he should just preach love and win people's souls.I would like to tell you that what pr ssempa is doing is absolutely right because if the church does not offer national direction, then who will?Keep the fight pastor Ssempa - balugiire ronald

What about the 5%?

To Pastor Sempa and those reading this aricle. Just because a group is be in the minority in an area, that does not give one the right to persecute them. Remember, Christianity was once also a minority group in ancient Rome. This persecution of minority groups (whether or not you agree with them) is the spark which ignites the most hated actions in the world - genocides, holocausts and human rights abuses.

If South Africans decide that Mr Qwelane does not reflect our attitude to such events, it is our moral obligation to say so. We will not endorse another attrocity in the name of the majority. - Concerned

If you represent a religion that is more interested in MTN and Nando's profit margins than fighting against the hateful oppression of innocent people, i think you are LOST SOULS!

Why do you hate homosexuals? They don't hate you. - Lee

There is no winning souls when you dont stop evil that enslaves the lost souls. Pastor Ssempa is treating the cause that brings the souls to be lost. - Hob

Don't hide behind God's Love.

To those commenting here remember that God's love is not a license to do whatever pleases you it comes with rules/commandments if you will. Ssempa is right on this matter and President Zuma is right on the envoys qualifications. Remember qualifications with no character is useless, so the fact that the envoy displays acceptable character suggests he has one less thing for us to worry about. - Ben

Diplomacy FAIL

It is evident that the narrow-minded author has absolutely no formal training in the workings, protocol and standards of foreign policy and diplomacy. Tsk Tsk Tsk.

The Ugandan government cares more about money than about stupid, out-dated, colonial beliefs instilled by equally narrow-minded Christian facists over the centuries.

The Ugandan president, in the wake of immense international pressure, has indicated that the "kill the gays" bill will not be passed, why? Because they need and love money.

The author's argument is idiotic and smacks of a propagandist and uninformed, misinformed "opinion". - Jon Doe

You should know that this isn't a way of winning people's souls. Just show them God's love. See what happens next. - Mike ssepetuka

Pastor Ssempa, always playing 'Hollier than though'. Before You go on campaigning for Mr. Qwelane, do u know anything about his qualifications? or because he subscribes to the same extremist thinking as u u think He's all good? Remember that South Africa allowed gay rights many years ago (Infact I remember u called us to boycott all their products, despite the fact that u kept your MTN number up to today). Please concentrate on winning souls for the lord and not oppressing an already oppressed minority. - Lenovo
