The western part of this country has experienced a little bit of laxity in these policies because they tend to think they are protected. It is a matter of time for this to affect the west as it is affecting the central that is why in some rare cases you have heard of the bafuluki wrangles! I strongly believe in the federal system of governance which will create a strong background of togetherness in all aspects of respect.

How we get it is between you and me.

Some of the Baganda who believe in this have always been seen as enemies of the greater part of the country and they have been defeated on all fronts by Uganda's past presidents. The tactic has always been to populate the central and do a lot of farming in other regions to feed the populous central that is why business many like Madhvani are moving on to own big chunks of land in the north and some of the remote areas in the central. To do this they need a law that protects the immigrants. So, what will happen when all land in the central has been exhausted?

Some baganda's concern has been to protect what they hold onto and try to express why we need a balance shift of development to other parts of the country as a way of less oppression and disadvantages that might be necessitated by life's basic needs which are land for food, shelter and the rest.

As a former biology student i would like to borrow Darwin's (survival for the fittest) theme that consists the greater part of the world's existence now.

Most the countries in the developed world are finding immigration a big threat to their existence if am not mistaken that is why David Cameron and the France president where voted in power because of their strong appeal for immigration policies.

In Uganda our cultural heritage has a great foundation to the existence of Uganda as a state. 50% percent of Uganda's population has now migrated to the central region and it is a matter of years for the percentage to stretch further.

Question of the Langi and Luo connection for Seki ?

Dear Seki,
The Langi and Luo are or belong to the same family of people they are Nilothics the Langi and Teso are Eastern Nilothics used to be called ParaNilothics. The Acholi, Alur ,Bari, Nyangber,Shiluk, Lugbara are Northern Nilothics. It was at one time thought they were partially Hamitic, but that theory has been dropped due to recent DNA and other anthropological studies. They are fully Nilothic as the Northern Nilothics.

On the other hand the Maasai, Karamojong, Nubians , certain subgroup of Itesot are Nilo-Cushitic. When referring to the word Luo we do not mean Luo, literally we broadly mean Nilothic as a generalisation, or commonality. - Andrew Mujooja-Musisi

Baganda, Bunyoro, Batooro, Banyankole ,Banyarwanda, and Barundi people belong to a main enthnic group of people called the interlacustrine peoples. They originated from the larger Bunyoro-Kitara Kingdom. The kingdom was founded by the (Chweezi) Hamito-Cushitic poplulation that migrated from Northern Misri and Nuba current day Egypt and Sudan North. The people, in question are an admixture of Bantu and Hamito-cushites. Not Luo.

If the Luo were so advanced why during the last centuries did the white man call them primitive, savage, barbarous uncivilised. Historical evidence shows how disorganised they were, surely how could they have formed or ruled the above interlacustrine kingdoms. Yes I am a Muganda, of Tooro &
Baziba-Banyarugabo-(Rwandese) origin

Please note this: Obote belonged to the Lango or Langi ethnic group. I understand these people are not Luo. They are more related to the Ateker or Karamojong or Teso. Check their clans. They share clans with the Teso. On the other hand, the real Luo, like Acholi, Alur, Anwak (Ethiopia) Jopadhola, Luo of Kenya and Tanzania, are the genuine ones. These guys originally came from Egypt, had a kingdom there. Went southwards to Bar el Gazal, then to Uganda, Kenya, Congo, Tanzania. The Luo were written out of history of Egypt by Europeans. They had fled Egypt because of the Arab invasion, together with their kings, and thus the founding of kingdoms of Uganda: Bunyoro Kitara, Buganda. Check their ancestors. They are Luo. - seki

Every rule has its end. Uganda also learnt a few things from Kenyas last election. This time round Ugandas opposition better unite.
Also the shouldnt go to the election without making sure the electoral body is independent.

Bambi, others areas or regions cannot do without Buganda. They need Buganda to exist. Otherwise places like Karamoja will in stone age. The Acholis would still be fruit gatherers. So please Buganda is Uganda and Uganda is Buganda. Poor primitive tribes - Test

Baganda hate themselves most, Baganda rejected Ben Kiwanuka, a Muganda wrote the 1967 constitution, many Baganda presidents failed to return federo/kingship, ssemwogerere got a landslide in mbale but baganda failed him in his home area, a muganda is the speaker, another one is the prime minister, another is a vice president etc. talk about all industries being relocated to buganda, the jobs in kampala dominated by baganda.
what do these people want. if you wake up and speak the truth then ugandans will support you. - SHISA ROBERT

If the constitution asserts that the Kabaka is the titular head of all the districts in the Buganda region, Government does not need to wrack its brain for a solution.

1. Arrest the Ssabanyala for threatening violence.
2. Provide assurance of security for the Kabaka's trip to Kayunga district.

Mengo cannot bribe MPs

Mengo does not have the money to bribe MPs in Parliament with five million shillings each to change the constitution, in order to relocate the capital, but Museveni can use the tax-payers money to change the constitution through bribery of MPs as he did with the lifting of term limits. If Mengo had such money, they could easily bribe our MPs to change the constitution to relocate the capital. Kampala has turned into a curse rather a blessing to the Baganda. - S.Sewagaba

More pertinent is are you?
Unfortunately for you, I do not adore Mutebi, he is after all just a human being, however, that does not negate my being a muganda. BTW I do not subscribe to any political party, however, that is neither here nor there when it comes to Mutebi's stupidness. - Emperror
