Thirst for Football

I totally agree. Football is like a religion in Brazil and we all thirst for it.

One thing that has helped is the birth of the internet. This game is just the best thing ever. Check out the brazilian leagues...

Great comment. You have raised an important question and am sure many Ugandans have wondered about the same. Our game is still not that good and we don't see any tangible investment in sports, a field that has made a name and money for countries in Africa either little known or rising out of conflict like Ivory Cost,Togo and Cameroon etc. Whether in sports or any other field, there's no widely known hero or herione for this country. And this reflects on how long a journey we still have to trek. - Rosebell Kagumire

Beautiful account of Brazillian love for football. It has raised a q uestion in my mind:

What is so passionately love, adored and dedicated to by we Ugandans?

Who is our hero or heroine whom we all feel so proud to?

A nation without a specific passion or heroes/heroines is at best a dull, boring and failed nation. Its leaders are a feat of hopelessness with no ability to inspire their subjects. - Vahid Oloro
